In the design of a project organisation structure, the use of a quantitative approach to model contingency variables and human dynamics challenges have received limited attention. In this chapter, the basic concepts of projects, organisation design and structure, and Project Management Office (PMO) was discussed. Thereafter, the applicability of operations research paradigm to structure a PMO using the methodology developed by Professor Charles-Owaba were highlighted.
